Onboarding

Joining is the whole setup

No app to find, no account, nothing to configure. The whole flow is: join a WiFi network, the way you would on a plane.

The device is on

The console powers on with the car and broadcasts its own WiFi. No phone signal, router or internet needed.

Join the network

Open WiFi settings on any phone or tablet and join the car's network from the list. No password app, no QR code.

The game lobby opens automatically

A captive portal — the mechanism that shows a login page on hotel WiFi — fires on its own and loads the lobby.

How it's designed to work: hostapd + dnsmasq + a captive portal, no separate app

Say who's playing

The lobby asks who is playing: Klein (roughly 4–7, no reading needed), Groot (roughly 8–14), or a bridge set for a mixed group.

Pick a game, or spin for one

Browse the cover-art cards, or use the roulette for a surprise. Rounds are short, so a nap or a fuel stop does not stall the game.

Worth knowing

A couple of honest caveats

The driver doesn't play

Deliberate, not an oversight: excluding the driver is what makes screen-focused games safe to include at all.

Captive portals aren't perfectly consistent

Captive-portal detection differs per platform and is not fully tested yet. If it does not pop up, open a browser and load any address — see troubleshooting.

Something not connecting the way it should?

Troubleshooting covers the common connection and device issues, grounded in how the system is actually built.
